Ping Wang is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores womanhood, migration, and cultural identity through ceramics, mixed media sculpture, painting, and installation.
Ping Wang is an interdisciplinary artist working across ceramics, sculpture, painting, and digital media to explore migration, womanhood, and identity. Shaped by growing up in China and later relocating to New York, her practice turns in-betweenness into a space of tension, play, and reconstruction. Through material experimentation, subconscious fragments of memory, emotion, and experience begin to surface, shift, and take form. She deconstructs bodily forms, architectural fragments, calligraphy, interiors, and fashion into layered works that feel intimate, uncanny, and unstable. Her work creates conceptual portals where personal memory and collective experience overlap, tracing resilience, vulnerability, and transformation.
Ping Wang is a Chinese multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn. She holds an MFA from Brooklyn College, CUNY, where she taught 3D design, and a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including National Arts Club (NY), Powerhouse Arts(NY), Gold Coast Art Center(NY), and SVA Gallery(NY), as well as the Central Academy of Fine Arts Gallery(Beijing). She participated the Pioneer Works residency (2025), the National Arts Club Artist Fellowship (2025–2026) and the DeCA x Dusty&Co residency (2025-2026) and NARS Foundation residency (2026).
